Fun filled weekends

Last Saturday we went to Corpus Christi and spent the day with Jon's brother and his family. We had a great time. We went to the Texas State Aquarium and had a great time seeing all the fish! Garrison enjoyed playing with his cousins Allison and Lindsey. They were so sweet with him. Then on Sunday we went to Jon's parents church Easter Egg hunt and then to Baskin Robbins for ice cream which Garrison calls yum yum!

Today we went to the Country Club for breakfast and an Easter Egg hunt. We had a great time and Garrison enjoys finding the eggs and seeing what's inside them! My parents, John, April, Caden and Dalton were there so we had a great time.

We hope you all have a Happy Easter!

Fun in the Sun!

We headed to the beach (South Padre Island) last Friday for the weekend. We had a great time with my family. This was really the first time Garrison had been able to play in the sand. All the times we had gone before the weather wasn't good or he was too young to really enjoy the beach. We went out early Saturday morning and stayed a few hours on the beach before all the Spring Breakers woke up and came out. It was crazy down there so we spent a lot of time in the condo which was very relaxing and fun!

Yee-Haw

For Valentine's weekend my parents treated us to a weekend in San Antonio at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch Resort. We had a great weekend. We took Garrison to the San Antonio Rodeo and he loved it. He loved seeing all the animals. He enjoyed the pony ride and the petting zoo. He wasn't afraid at all and loved petting all the animals. Although I didn't get any pictures we enjoyed being with Jennifer, Rex, Ryan, Megan and Jake on Saturday at Ryan's baseball tryouts. He did great and we enjoyed watching him tryout. We then spent the rest of the day with them. We had a great Valentine's day and weekend. It was so relaxing and fun to be together as a family.

A night out with Uncle John!

John has been home for 8 days and has enjoyed being home and has done so much in just a little over a week! He decided this afternoon that he wanted to go to the hockey game so Garrison enjoyed his first hockey game with Uncle John! We had a great time! Garrison also liked the bee and followed him around. We enjoyed the night and are so thankful to have John home and doing so well. We are so blessed.

Welcome home John!

My brother came home yesterday and it is so good to have him back. A good friend of ours posted on her blog about John and it really blessed me. Her blog site is mammysfrontporch.blogspot.com
There are recent pictures of John on her post too. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has believed with us and has continued to pray for John. God is faithful. John is a miracle!

Christmas 2008

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas. We started celebrating on Monday night with dinner and exchanging presents with my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents at my Aunt Pat & Uncle Tom's house. My aunt and cousins were down from Georgia so we enjoyed seeing them. On Christmas Eve we went to Jon's parent's church service and then to their house for dinner. We had Christmas lunch at our house this year with Jon's family. We had a great time and the boys (Noah and Garrison) enjoyed playing with all their new toys. We also did our annual dollar gift exchange and that was fun as always. Then the day after Christmas we drove up to Houston to see my family and be with John for Christmas. We exchanged gifts that night at the apartment and then on Sunday John was able to come to the apartment and open his gifts. It was such a great day with him. He really enjoyed being at the apartment with all of us and didn't want to go back to TIRR. We had a great Christmas and we are so thankful for John's healing and restoration. We are witnessing a miracle! Thank you Lord!

Ho Ho Ho

We had breakfast with Santa this morning at the Country Club and Garrison did great sitting on Santa's lap. He was so still and just smiled, it was too cute to watch! Santa gave out gifts and Garrison thought that was great and loved his new Tonka truck. Garrison can tell you what Santa says, he says Ho Ho Ho!
